The Eye

Happy Pi Day! This image is a visualization of the first 1,000 digits of Pi, shown as links between successive digits. For example, the “14” in “3.14…” is drawn as a link from segment 1 to segment 4. The concentric circles placed outside the links indicate the number of transitions between digits; the big purple splotch at the top is known as the Feynman Point, where six 9’s appear in succession.~Martin Krzywinski

To say he passed, he passed this way. And said so long on National PI day. All of the computers in the world blink.

And so it goes…

The only thing I wonder as I envy my way around photos of desire is, why do we not see foot stools with reading chairs? Would we not want to put our feet up? Sofas I understand—to stretch out is to read.

Dem Bones 2—Status Close to Quo—

Improvement comes in great leaps. It does however leave behind some swellings of pride. My right leg is now only 1/2 again as large as it should be. The left leg swelled in sympathy and I don’t understand why. I’ll ask when next I see the doctor. I expect it is somehow related to the anesthesia. It never swelled as much as the right, which of itself was a tree trunk. I don’t know why I didn’t take some photos of the progression, but I seemed occupied with other things. And don’t you like the can-can leggings? Support stockings in only one color and set. *sigh*

In terms of progress—quite fine. I’m walking totally alone (without cane, etc.) and am able to carry things, move items, quite normal enough to forget the wound.

Post Surgery 1

This was taken immediately after being wheeled into my room. It is a very odd feeling to be unable to move your legs and feet. You are not even aware of them being there or existing. No act of will can make them move. I found this quite interesting as it also appeared as if one minute unmovable, the next—normal.

And, did you know that there are 3 types of total knee replacement materials? One of these is cadaver. Oddly enough I’m now interested in which type was used for me. I’ll ask when I first see my doctor for the post surgery appointment.
